A strong local school doesn’t happen by accident.

This spring, our community will vote on a referendum to help maintain current programs and services, protect classrooms, and keep Lake Country School strong, stable, and local.

This is about stability - not growth - and making sure decisions about our school remain in our community.

What This Is About

Map showing districts around Lake County, with different areas shaded in yellow, red, green, and blue, including labels for campuses, lakes, and neighborhoods.

Lake Country School is a small, local K–8 district serving six Lake Country communities. Like many districts across Wisconsin, the district is navigating rising costs and limited state funding — even after years of careful budgeting and reductions.

The upcoming referendum gives our community the opportunity to maintain what we value and support the school our kids rely on.

What to Know

  • This referendum maintains current services - it does not expand the district

  • Lake Country School operates lean, with two administrators serving the district: a superintendent/administrator and a business administrator

  • State funding has not kept pace with rising costs

  • Some school dollars pass through the district but cannot be used for operations

We believe our community deserves clear, honest information and
a voice in the future of our local school.
